From 1 February aerosol cans can no longer go in the recycling bin

From this date kerbside recycling will only accept paper, cardboard, glass, tin cans and plastic types 1, 2 and 5. Aerosol cans, liquid paperboard containers like Tetra Pak, foil, lids and caps, plastics 3, 4, and 6, and 7 and soft plastics will no longer be accepted.

Aerosol cans are made from aluminium and steel which can be recycled indefinitely so we encourage you to recycle aerosols in other ways.
